. . . And to give you all a little background. My name is Matthew I'm 24 years old, I was born and raised here in Toledo and last year I graduated from UT with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. 

I have always liked wrenching and just about anything that has a motor but boats and aviation are my passions. The first time I ever flew on an airplane was actually from Toledo Executive Airport in a little 4 seater (don't remember what it was I was in sixth grade). It was right after 9/11 and I remember having to postpone the trip a week or so because of that. Anyways, for the past 3 years I have been flying  powered paraglider (paramotor), which to me is one of the coolest types of flying out there. The ability to use your feet as landing gear and go up to 10,000 feet an a gallon of gas, and then spiral down as fast as you want all on a machine that cost less than a motorcycle and fits in your trunk is pretty unreal. The goal for me has always been to own an amphibian. I'm pretty dead set on purchasing an Aventura II. It's an afforadble, versatile LSA Amphibian that perfectly fits the build for what I'm looking for. As of now I have just been flying under part 103 but I would like to get my sport pilot license this spring / summer.
