Tonight we set up the blog and forum to handle the Flaire group project.  It has been in the design stage for about 3 years.  Construction began for about three weeks.  The date is December 20, 2013.

This is great.  I hope we can get other people participating in the blog.  Need to invite some of the other members on here. I can see lots of deep discussion about airplanes, flying and politics.

Last night my family prepared 100 letters to be mailed out to the membership informing them of our new website.  I made 100 black and white copies of the letter, bought 100 envelops, and 100 stamps.  It took four of us just under one hour to put addresses on them and stuff them in the envelops.  We had to wait until today to drop them off at the post office and it will probably take 3 or 4 days to get to their destinations.  Some might not make it.  It cost over $50.00 and took more than two hours of work including gas for the car.  This week we will send out the electronic version on the world wide web.  It will be in full color, have links to other websites, go out to as many people we have on our mailing list, (hundreds) and will be delivered instantly anywhere in the world, virtually for free, no pun intended.  I'm just sayin.

You are absolutely correct.  Communications via computers are the sign of times.  They save money and are more timely... not to mention the number of folks that can join a forum such as this and share their knowledge on a particular topic.
