Corvair engine is not as easily adapted for airplanes as everyone makes it out to be. They also end up about as heavy as a continental O-200... and as expensive too. If you have a project that needs that kind of power, I would go with a no electrics Continental C-85. I'm all for no-electrics due to the ADS-B Out mandate that everyone has been grumbling about.
