Special Airventure Camping Deal

EAA AirVenture camping for up to a whole week for only $63 per person.  Normal camp site is $196 per week!

Limited time -- you must register by MONDAY, JUNE 21st.

Will you be camping at EAA Airventure (Oshkosh) this year?  If so, consider joining Chapter 582 Camping.  This offer is only available through Chapter Camping.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN JOINING US, PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE MESSAGE, MAYBE MULTIPLE TIMES.  It's not hard, just a lot of information.

From EAA Chapter Camping web site:

"Returning for AirVenture, chapters now have an affordable opportunity to establish a “beachhead” at which to base their activities. Rather than paying by the day, a campsite is staked out until the convention ends. Chapters are able to purchase in advance two to six campsites at a flat rate in order to establish a chapter base of operations. Since the campsites will be staked out in advance, each chapter can direct its members to camp in the vicinity of this area."

Details

Normal camping is $28 per night, 3 night, $84 minimum -- or $196 per site for a week.

Join our Chapter camping site for only $63 per person, for up to the entire week. That's for 1 day, 3 days, or 7 days - $63, period.  That's not per-day, it's the same cost no matter how many days you stay.

Please bring your own camping gear or make arrangements with another member to share a tent, camper, whatever.

Each chapter can get 2 to 6 sites.  Each site is roughly 20 x 30 and costs $252, so for every 4 people who sign up, we can buy another site.

If you have a special request, like you want your family to stay in a camper, email us at [email protected] to help make you a better deal.  If you're parking an RV or camper, you should consider increasing your donation.  Example, if you take up 1/2 a campsite, you should pay 1/2 (or more) of the site (still a good deal!)

Please register and prepay if you would like this special offer.  Email us at [email protected]  and let us know how you are camping (tent, cot, camper, etc.) and which days you're planning on staying.

Note: we'll only buy as many sites as needed.  Some people may only stay a few days.  If someone else comes after that, we'll just use the space of those who left.

YOU MUST REGISTER TO RESERVE A SPOT*  EAA REQUIRES US TO SUBMIT A LIST OF NAMES OF CAMPERS AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION.  WE NEED YOU TO REGISTER BY MONDAY JUNE 21ST (VERY SOON)

CHAPTER CAMPERS CAN ARRIVE AND CAMP AS EARLY AS SATURDAY JULY 10TH, more than 2 weeks early!

*we will welcome transient campers, but don't take advantage of this to try to get free camping.  If you missed the registration or decide on July 27th you need a place to camp, you're welcome to stay with us.  We'll ask for a donation to camp at the Chapter 582 camping.

We did this in 2019 and it was a lot of fun.  We were 3 to 5 minutes walking distance or a 30 second bike ride to an entrance gate.  See the camping map here.  We were at Lindbergh and 56th, only 8 rows from the front.  If you show up for normal "first come, first serve" camping you could easily be a 15 to 25 minute walk (although shuttle busses are available).  It's not uncommon going back and forth to your site a few times per day.

EAA will tell us in July where our site is but it should be good.

AirVenture Tickets

To to be clear, you are only registering for camping.  To get into AirVenture, you'll still have to buy AirVenture tickets.  See Airventure prices here.  You save significantly by being an EAA National member.  If you're not already, sign up here.
