Aerodynamics for Private Pilots
Speaker: W.J. David
EAA Chapter 582's own Bill David will present a lecture on aerodynamics as they pertain to private pilots. Bill has been flying for over 45 years and 33,000 hours. He has flown over 130 different aircraft ranging from ultra lights to wide body jets, and has been instructing since 1975. This course will touch on the stuff that pilots need to know in order to fly more efficiently and safer. It will provide the student with a foundation of understanding that will save gas and lives. Perhaps more importantly Bill will enlighten the student as to their misunderstanding of a stall that has been perpetuated by people less than knowledgeable including misleading and dangerous concepts reinforced by the FAA. The lecture will include question and answer and will be a minimum of two hours in duration but will go as long as necessary to cover the material.
